CCP Partners with PTT to Develop “G-Block,”
an Eco-Friendly Concrete Innovation
“Chonburi Concrete Product Public Company Limited (CCP) has announced a collaboration with PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop an innovative concrete product called “G-Block.” This eco-friendly construction material, also known as the “Global Rescue Brick,” can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1.8 to 3.1 kg of CO₂ per square meter, supporting the construction industry’s transition towards sustainability.”
Mr. Arthit Theepakornsukgasem, Managing Director of CCP, stated that the partnership with PTT aims to advance low-carbon concrete technology. The initiative utilizes CO₂ conversion technology to enhance the curing process, resulting in G-Block, a breakthrough product with significant environmental benefits.
“This collaboration marks a major step forward in CCP’s commitment to developing sustainable construction materials. We recognize the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and are determined to contribute to environmental solutions,” said Mr. Arthit.
He emphasized that G-Block reflects CCP’s dedication to innovation for a sustainable future, aligning with PTT’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental technologies. The partnership reinforces Thailand’s potential to develop solutions that address climate challenges while fostering a low-carbon society.
Currently, G-Block is being used as a paving material in the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Herb Garden, with plans for wider adoption in the construction industry. This expansion supports Thailand’s sustainable development goals and strengthens the construction sector’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
